THE LAND & THE REGION

Where our story took root

Bangadang Farm spans 850 acres along the Preston River in Western Australia's South West. Over the years, we have learned to work with the land – understanding its soil, seasons and natural rhythms as the foundation for everything we grow.

Our focus is on regeneration: restoring underused paddocks, strengthening biodiversity and creating a landscape where food, native plants and wildlife can flourish together. Since 2020, we have reforested more than 10 acres and continue to plant around 1,000 trees each year, including native species that provide habitat and support the wider ecosystem.

Our approach begins with the land – working with its natural rhythms to grow ingredients with exceptional flavour, quality and vitality. Every decision is guided by care for the soil, the wider ecosystem and the seasons that shape each harvest.

We gather ingredients when they are at their best, then use thoughtful preservation methods to retain their natural character for longer. By bringing together responsible growing and modern innovation, we can share more of the farm's abundance while preserving what nature created.

A FARM IN PROGRESS

Always learning from the land

Bangadang Farm is an evolving place of learning, experimentation and renewal. Through each season and every new project, we continue to explore how different parts of the farm can work together more naturally and productively.

From restoring habitats to developing food-growing systems and freshwater projects, each initiative helps us better understand the land and its potential. Together, they form a living farm ecosystem – one that continues to grow, adapt and flourish over time.

ON THE FARM

A living ecosystem, and a place of progress

Food Forest

Our 2.5-hectare Food Forest brings together more than 50 species of fruit, nuts and native plants. Designed as a diverse, self-sustaining ecosystem, it supports both productive growing and the restoration of the land.

Reforestation

Since 2020, we have restored more than 10 acres of former paddock, planting around 1,000 native trees each year. These plantings strengthen biodiversity, create wildlife corridors and provide lasting habitat across the farm.

Marron

Our farm dams are home to marron, Western Australia's native freshwater crayfish. By restoring their habitat and supporting natural breeding cycles, we are exploring a more considered approach to growing this remarkable local species.

Fruit & Vegetables

From avocados and citrus to seasonal vegetables and native ingredients, we grow a diverse range of produce across the farm. Harvested at its best, each crop reflects the seasons and natural character of the land.

Truffery

Our truffery brings together oak and hazelnut trees inoculated with black truffle spores. Still in its early stages, it is a long-term project shaped by patience, careful cultivation and the unique growing conditions of Western Australia's South West.

Honey

Our honey celebrates the distinctive flowering landscapes of Western Australia. Carefully sourced from trusted local beekeepers, each variety reflects the native flora, seasons and remarkable character of the region.
