Marron & dams

Marron & dams

Growing marron, with care at every stage.

Starting with the dam

Marron are native to Western Australia’s South West. At Bangadang, the work begins in the dams: understanding the water, improving habitat and finding out what helps them thrive.

What we’re looking at

Care through the whole process

From feeding and breeding to handling the harvest, each part deserves care. We’re building practical knowledge with people who know marron, and sharing the work as it develops.

AQUACULTURE / WATER

Inside the marron project

The project brings together habitat work, feeding trials and the care of the harvest. These films show what that looks like on the Farm.

Habitat and water

Water, food and shelter shape life in the dams. Take a closer look at the habitat work behind the project.

Feeding trials

What we feed marron matters. Follow the feeding experiment and the observations from the dams in our video journal.

Farm to customer

The time and care in the dams carry through to the harvest. We welcome conversations with retailers, chefs and food partners who share that approach.
